7. Torres del Paine
Torres Del Paine National Park is arguably the biggest attraction as far as national parks go. It is situated in southern part of Chile about 100 km north of Puerto Natales. It was a beautiful day with almost no wind. The views were stunning as in all national parks over here. There are mountains, lakes, and glaciers everywhere you look. My campground was by the lake Pehoe with incredible views of the mountains. Unfortunately the wind picked up overnight to the strength I haven't seen even here before. I put a large and heavy picnic table in front of my tent to shield me from the wind. But in the morning the wind was so strong that pushed the table on my tent while I was sleeping there. I was lucky I escaped only with a heavily bruised and sore shoulder. The tent wasn't so lucky. Broken polls and ripped canvas spelled the death to the tent. I have no tent, and there is no place to sleep over here. I packed everything in the rain and left for Natales again. The wind was so strong it was difficult to ride my bike on the gravel road. I will have to reassess the situation when I get back to the town.
incredible views
