4. The Inside Passage
I took a big cargo ferry northbound from Puerto Natales to Puerto Montt to avoid riding the same road twice. It was an awesome trip. We covered 1600 km in four days. The trip didn't start too well when they almost left my bike behind. But from the time we left the port, it was a great experience. It was very similar to sailing through the Inside Passage on the West Coast of British Columbia and Alaska. We sailed through narrow channels alongside mountains and glaciers. We saw many dozens of whales, seals and dolphins. No internet or cell phone coverage during the trip so it was nice and relaxing. But four days on the ship was probably as much as I can take it.
