3. Lifestyle of Rich & Famous

Behind that gate is a hidden gem. A Shangri La. In my life and during my career I’ve stayed in thousands of hotels. It is hard to impress me. But I was surely impressed here. Big time. I saw the pictures on the website but lets be honest, the pictures always look better then reality. Not here. It is the other way around. The pictures don’t give you the scale nor feeling for this place. It is my second day here today and I still feel that somebody comes any minute to kick me out telling me I’ve been trespassing. I will be attending a Spanish language school for the next 5 weeks here. And the school recommended this place. I looked at the prices and thought, OK those pictures are of their best rooms. But for the price, I’ll take it anyway. I’ve emailed back and forth with the hotel management, making sure I have a place to stay. Even during the trip down I was in the contact as the last thing I wanted is to start hunting for a long stay hotel when I get here.

Anyway, the hotel manager greeted me like an old friend and showed me around. Totally impressed from the gate. There are several rooms and suites here, not sure how many. My room is at the end, in attached self contained villa. There are 3 bedrooms here, mine is downstairs. Two more upstairs. Nice living and dining rooms with a full kitchen is downstair. It is all spotless. There is a pool and a jacuzzi 10m from my bedroom. I feel like I don’t belong here. I feel like a king. The staff is incredible here. Very helpful and friendly. There is a superfast internet so I am set. Uploading pictures for my blog is matter of a few seconds. It is a paradise.

Nightfall comes very quickly here. Sunset was at 18:18 today and few minutes after that is already dark. Then the lights came on in the palace! OMG, this gives this place even richer appearance. Not a bad place, indeed. I can take one for the team, Brohmies 🤭.

Now the best part. The price. I pay USD$25/night. That’s $35 Canadian Pesos! You can’t get a Motel 6 for less then $USD per night! Place like this would cost anywhere in CAN/US $1,000+ per night. Heck, I stayed in a hotel expensive like that but the quality was nowhere near this. What can I say? I am tremendously enjoying the stay so far, it is impossible not to. I hope you will at least enjoy the pictures. Cheers.
