This is the first day in Chile. The road to Iquique was as desolate as they get. But road was in perfect condition, the road signs where they suppose to be and Chilean drivers who actually obey the traffic laws. What a novel concept Peru and other countries are yet to discover. There is a great descent to Iquique from the plateau over 1,000m above.
