7. Hot Springs and Pink Flamingos

I start riding today one hour before sunrise. It is a long way to the Hot Springs and the road is not the best. The temperature was OK in San Pedro but it got pretty cold when I reached the altitude. Most of the riding again was above 4000 m. The road was really bad, at many points you just have to pick a heading and keep going straight. The hot spring were nothing special when you are used to be geezers from the national parks in the US. The main feature at Hot Springs, the swimming pool, was closed. The highlight of the trip today were flamingoes on the lake right beside the road. There were thousands of them and they totally ignored me. I could spend whole day just watching them. I took a few hundreds pictures of them before heading home.
